The regenerative treatments we offer include the use of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Bone Marrow Concentrate (BMC). These treatments may alleviate a number of chronic orthopedic conditions, including arthritis, sports injuries, tendinitis/tendinosis, nerve injuries and more.
The physician will determine which treatment may work best for you based on your individual needs and the severity of the injury and/or disease. We utilize best practices used by leaders in the field and research from practitioners around the world who perform similar treatments.
Our highly trained physicians use carefully guided ultrasound to find a sample of stem cells or platelets, extract them and then concentrate this tissue in a cell centrifuge. The sample is then injected at the site of an injured tendon, ligament, muscle, bone or joint, again using ultrasound to guide the procedure. Light sedation and/or a local anesthetic is used at the injection site. It’s similar to a steroid injection. All of this is done in one outpatient visit. Watch more here.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a concentrated form of your own platelets obtained by processing your blood in a centrifuge. When an injury occurs, platelets naturally begin the healing process in your body. The platelets release signaling proteins that attract your body’s stem cells to the injured area. By injecting concentrated PRP into an area of concern, your body will recognize this site as a priority to heal it more quickly and thoroughly.
Bone Marrow Concentrate (BMC)
Treatments using Bone Marrow Concentrate (BMC) involve a procedure in which the physician removes your body’s own stem cells and concentrates them into a sample to inject into the injured area(s). The high concentration of cells at the injured site works to increase the healing potential. Watch more here.
Conditions We Treat
Regenerative orthopedic medicine may relieve both acute and chronic pain that many active adults experience in the knee, hip, wrist, elbow, shoulder, ankle and any other joint. A number of uncomfortable conditions can be treated, including (but not limited to):
The outcome of each treatment depends upon the site and severity of the injury as well as the patient’s own healing potential. The physician will discuss this with you at your initial appointment. Results may vary.
