Muscle Strains

Stem Cell Injections for Muscle Strains

A muscle strain is an injury to a muscle in which the muscle fibers tear as a result of over-stretching. Symptoms include bruising, local pain and weakness of the muscle. Most patients will improve with physician-directed conservative therapy such as rest, ice and physical therapy. A small number of patients will continue to experience localized pain and weakness after a strain. Depending on the injury, some patients may even need surgery.

Treatment with stem cells at the site of the injury can accelerate healing and improve healing in patients with chronic muscle-related pain. Call to schedule an appointment to discuss your treatment options with one of our physicians, and determine if stem cell treatment is appropriate for you.
